Founded in 2020, The Sands Academy is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and neuroaffirming learning environment where students are supported, celebrated, and empowered to thrive.

Our approach recognizes that there is no single way to learn. Through play-based, project-based, and hands-on learning, we create meaningful educational experiences that honor each student's individual strengths, interests, learning styles, and support needs. Rather than asking students to fit into a traditional educational model, we strive to create an environment that adapts to the learner—building confidence, independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.

At The Sands Academy, neurodiversity is not simply accommodated—it is understood, respected, and valued. We believe students learn best when they feel safe enough to be themselves, connected to their community, and actively engaged in their education.

The Sands Academy is also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to expanding neuroinclusive practices beyond the classroom. Through community education and outreach, family and parent trainings, field trips, educational programs, and increased access to neuroaffirming resources, we work to build a community where neurodivergent children and their families feel supported and included.
